Thank you US Cellular!!

Thursday, December 17, 2009: Under US Cellular's Community Phone Program, Communities In Schools of Perquimans County was awarded a free cell phone plus one free year of unlimited talk time!!  Representatives from the Tanglewood US Cellular Store in Elizabeth City paid me a visit today to present the phone to me.  They even brought balloons and a beautiful poinsettia!

Friday, October 2, 2009 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.: RBC Bank is hosting another Bake Sale to benefit Communities In Schools of Perquimans County at their branch on Church Street in downtown Hertford. 

Monday, September 21, 2009 10 a.m.: School Volunteer Training at the Central Office (Board of Education Building on Edenton Road Street)

Monday, August 24th - Monday, September 4th, 2009: School Supply Drive sponsored by RBC Centura Branches in Edenton, Elizabeth City, Buxton, Manteo, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills and Duck

Saturday, August 1 & Saturday, August 22, 2009 7 a.m. until Noon: The Board of Directors held two RUMMAGE SALES and raised over $800 for CIS of Perquimans County.  Both rummage sales were hosted by Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Hertford.

Friday, April 3, 2009 9 a.m. until...: RBC Centura held a Bake Sale to benefit Communities In Schools of Perquimans County at their branch on Church Street in downtown Hertford.

& Sunday, April 19, 2009 noon - 5 p.m.:

The Fourth Annual Northeastern North Carolina Boat Show was held at the Perquimans County Recreation Center at 310 Granby Street in Hertford, just behind East Carolina Bank.  This is our largest fundraiser each year.  Click here for a map of the location of the Boat Show

September 20, 2008: The Board of Directors held a RUMMAGE SALE to raise funds for CIS of Perquimans County.  The Rummage Sale was hosted by Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Hertford.  Photos will be posted soon.

July 7 through August 7, 2008: Perquimans County Summer Activity Program served over 100 students 4 days per week for 5 weeks!  Planned visitors, presentations and activities gave the youth something to do while school was out.  Free lunches were provided by the USDA Summer Feeding Program.  Sponsors for this program are the following: Perquimans County, Perquimans County Schools, Town of Winfall, Town of Hertford, Snug Harbor Community Church, Perquimans County Recreation Department, Inter-County Public Transportation, Local Churches, and concerned community citizens.  For more information, please click here.  Photos will be posted soon.
